Ispir Kale MosqueThe mosque within the inner walls of the castle is attributed to the Saltuk rulers who reigned in the region under the sovereignty of Seljukids, although no inscription remains. While the lower part of the walls are made with rough stones, finely dressed stones are used in masonry of the upper walls. The building measures 10.80*9.5 m. Stalactites decorate the gate opposite the apse as well as the pendentives supporting the dome. The body of the 18 m minaret is well preserved. |
